The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan as a partner in "Recourse Efficiency in Agri-food Production and Processing (REAP) " Project, that has been launched within EU “SWITCH-Asia” Programme, informs the following.
According to the Project, it is envisaged to hire of technical consultants and junior managers who can implement Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) measures, help MSMEs access (green) finance and improve the supply chain independently.
Specifically, the technical consultant will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Implementation:
- participates in a series of trainings in resource/energy efficiency, cleaner production, waste management and workers’ safety (theoretical and practical);
- works closely together and follows the instructions of international and local senior technical experts (if any) to implement improvement solutions at various SMEs;
- provides local SMEs with knowledge and experience gained from the training;
- owns prior knowledge and experience, analyses findings and elaborates technical report; supports the implementation of the recommended measures;
- sometimes fulfills the role of translator/interpreter.
The technical consultant should satisfy the following:
Requirements:
- good English (speaking and writing); teaching ability/secure behavior;
- good local language/ (speaking and writing);
- good technical knowledge (academic degree or practical experience in the field of technology, preferably mechanical, chemical, industrial, electric engineering) related to environment, energy, metal and building industry; knowledge of target group smes in selected region/cluster(preferred);
- field experience in energy/environmental audit and/or consulting preferred;
- good communication skills, diligence;
- willingness to travel;
- willingness to work for the project for the full project period of 4 years;
- ability to work in teams is important;
- entrepreneurial ability will be given preference;
- women are encouraged to apply.
Specifically, the junior manager will be responsible (but not limited to) the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- fulfils tasks set by the senior manager of the project;
- contributes to the project execution of the whole project, including its timely production of the deliverables;
- attends the project meetings and events;
- contributes to internal teamwork and engages project members as necessary;
- updates, drafts and uploades articles and information to the web-page;
- involves and cooperates with the project stakeholders and etc.
The senior manager should satisfy the following:

- good English (speaking and writing);
- good local language/ (speaking and writing);
- good communication skills, diligence;
- good research and drafting skills;
- capacity and readiness to undertake administrative tasks
- willingness to work for the project for the full project period of 4 years;
- ability to work in teams is important;
