Management Bodies

The governing bodies of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chamber) are:

• Congress of the Chamber;
• Presidium of the Chamber;
• Executive Committee of the Chamber.

The supreme governing body of the Chamber is the Congress of the Chamber, which is convened at least once every four years.

The governing body of the Chamber between congresses is the Presidium of the Chamber consisting of twenty-five people, elected by the delegates of the congress.

The executive body of the Chamber is its Executive Committee, which in its activities is directly accountable to the Presidium of the Chamber.

The Chairman of the Chamber is elected to the position by the delegates of the congress of the Chamber on the proposal of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The first deputy and deputy chairmen of the Chamber are appointed by the Presidium of the Chamber on the proposal of the chairman of the Chamber.

Congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry:

• approves the Charter of the Chamber, the Regulations "On the Central Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan", the Regulations "On the Audit Commission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan" makes changes and additions to them;
• determines the main directions of activity of the Chamber and the structures established by it for the medium and long term;
• considers and approves reports on the activities of the Chamber and the structures established by it, reports of the Audit Commission and takes decisions on them;
• solves the issues of reorganization and termination of the activities of the Chamber;
• elects members of the Central Council and the Audit Commission.

The Congress of the Chamber is convened at least once every three years.
