Strengthening the capacity of business organizations of rural tourism and tourism based on communities for inclusive economic development in Central Asia
Within the framework of Global Business Week by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, was organized three days seminar -training in the State Committee of Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of tourism on the subject: Increasing the potential of rural tourism in Central Asia.
More than 15 representatives of tour companies from Uzbekistan participated in this seminar; they expressed interest and readiness to learn new field of business- organization and provision of services in the field of tourism (CBT).
The Training program is aimed at strengthening the potential of participants on organization and successful management of rural tourism and guest houses, which can offer cultural and entertainment programs for tourists, for example demonstrating original culture of local population.
Community Based Tourism, also known as a rural tourism is a special kind of tourism, which is different from other types of tourism, so that from one side offering unique opportunity to familiarize with national traditions of local population, from other side promotes welfare and income of rural families in remote areas of the country, while allowing them to retain their national and cultural heritage.
Very important, that rural tourism improves the lives of families themselves, hosting tourists, i.e. contributes to the improvement of living standards in the regions. To attract tourists, the population of the regions developing this industry should receive the necessary skills.
The participants of the training are sure that practical classes will help to learn more effectively the information provided by highly qualified trainers from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
It should be noted that the conduct of this training will have a positive impact, both at the literacy level of the population and on the tourist potential of these regions of our country.
