Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad together with "Uzbek-Pakistani Business Council" organized dinner - "Iftar"
May 23 this year, in the Marriott Hotel, the Uzbek Embassy in Islamabad, in conjunction with the Uzbek-Pakistan Business Council, organized the Iftar -supper on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan in the history of bilateral relations.
The Business Council was established in March this year, during the visit of the Uzbek delegation to the city of Islamabad, the co-chairmen of the Business Council were appointed from the Pakistan side of the head of the All-Pakistan Press Association Sarmad Ali and from the Uzbek side the chairman of the CCI of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov.
The first meeting of the Business Council was held on April 19 this year, in the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Islamabad led by the Minister of Foreign Trade Zh. Khojaev.
The main part of the participants of the celebration was made by businessmen from all provinces of Pakistan who are interested in establishing trade, economic and investment cooperation with our republic.
In particular, it is emphasized that, at the initiative of President Sh.Mirziyoyev, the International Research Center Imam al-Bukhari was opened in Uzbekistan, which is a unique organization for the development and education of peace-loving Islam. The guests were given information materials demonstrating the production and tourist potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, videos about the country's possibilities in the field of pilgrimage trips, as well as historical cities of our Republic, were demonstrated.
The guests particularly emphasized that the organization of the “Iftar” dinner by the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan, testifies to the humane policy of protecting and developing religious freedom, religious and interethnic tolerance, which is one of the main factors of peace and civil accord in the country.
This, in turn, is very positively assessed in the local media and the general public in Pakistan.
