Presidential Decree on Additional Measures to Improve the Quality of Education System has been adopted.
From March 1, 2019, the academic diplomas of the followings will be admitted and nostrified directly (without special exams):
- citizens studied in foreign educational institutions with special branches in Uzbekistan;
- citizens studied in foreign higher education institutions occupying the first 1,000 places in the world rankings;
- citizens who have been trained at the expense of quotas (grants) allocated by foreign states on the basis of ministry and its offices' referral;
- citizens enrolled in foreign educational institutions before January 1, 1992;
- citizens trained in educational institutions accredited by the competent authorities - full membership of the European Association of Quality Assurance in Higher Education;
- citizens studied in the United States, Australia, Israel, Canada, Singapore, South Korea, Japan;
- citizens studied abroad at the expense of funds allocated by the ministries and offices;
- as well as in the cases stipulated by the decisions of the President and the Government and international treaties.
Applications for recognition and nostrification of documents are accepted only through the Public Services Centers or through the Single interactive state services portal.
The decree imposed a number of additional tasks on the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality of Education.
By June 1, 2019, measures to introduce the information system, providing the quality of education, will be taken.
