The CCI held a meeting with the director of the Malaysian company “Matrade”

On October 16, 2019 the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adkham Ikramov, met with the director of the Matrade Malaysian company

During the meeting, parties discussed the issues of further development of bilateral mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation. The Malaysian side was informed about the ongoing large-scale economic reforms in the republic, including monetary policy, free economic zones, favorable conditions for doing business, as well as privileges and preferences for foreign investors.

The parties also discussed the results of Uzbek-Malaysian business forum and the B2B meeting which were organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan on October 15 of this year.

Following the meeting, agreements were reached regarding the participation of entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan at the Halal international exhibition, which will be held in Malaysia on April 1-4, 2020.

The parties also exchanged views on the establishment of the Uzbek-Malaysian Business Council, which will help expand cooperation and develop trade and economic relations between the two countries.
