The proposals put forward by the Chamber to improve the business environment are yielding results
According to the Law “On the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, one of the functions of the Chamber in improving the business and investment climate is to analyze the state of the business environment, the results of the implementation of legislation and requirements and make proposals for their improvement.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan conducts systematic work in this direction and monitors the local business environment.
In particular, in order to improve the business environment in 2021 and the first quarter of this year, the Chamber sent 34 proposals to relevant organizations, 12 of which were included in the regulations.
In particular, it was proposed to introduce an installment payment procedure for the sale of non-agricultural land to business entities at an auction.
This proposal is reflected in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-101 dated April 8, 2022, paragraph 2 of the decree introduced the procedure for paying state assets in installments for up to three years.
It is also proposed to determine the participation of the Chamber's employees in inspections of business entities by regulatory authorities.
This proposal was also met with approval, and the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 15, 2021 PF-6314 introduced the procedure for the participation of employees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in inspections of business entities that are part of the chamber.
