Expanding cooperation with Malaysian businessmen

On April 13, 2022, an online meeting was held with the Malaysian company GT Spice Manufacturers with the participation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and local exporters.

In an online video conference, G. Usmanov from the Export Promotion Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan spoke in detail about the interest of Malaysian companies in cooperation with the country, including GT Spice Manufacturers, and the potential for exports from Uzbekistan to Malaysia.

In particular, it was noted that there is a high potential for the export of dried fruits, food products, agricultural products, especially medicines and spices.

In turn, the Malaysian company informed about its activities and expressed interest in implementing joint projects with Uzbek businessmen in the field of export, import, as well as projects in the field of food.

During the meeting, presentations of local businesses on export-oriented products were heard.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to consider the possibility of organizing the export of agricultural products and dried fruits from Uzbekistan to Malaysia, mutually beneficial cooperation with private enterprises of Uzbekistan and the creation of a joint venture with Malaysia for the production of food products.
